Great, a master piece.
ReplyDeleteIf you wrote the words of Malali in Pashto, It would have been more good.
any great work, continue it.
Thanks, Saibzada!
DeleteI've tried looking for the Pashto version of those lines. Can't. Lemme know if you find them and want to share them here. That's a great idea :)
“ Ka Pah Maiwand Kay Shaheed Na Sh'way
Deletekh'day'go La'Lia Bay-Nangay ta daye sA-teena
”
“ Pashto: که په میوند کی شهید نشوی
خدایږو لالیه بی ننګی ته دی ساتینه
”
Malalai, a symbol of courage and inspiration for Afghans and all Muslims. It pains me to see how the women are treated in our region. We have forgotten our past, we have forgoten our history.
ReplyDeleteVery good effort; and keep it up; my best wishes.
needless to say, Malalai was a badass.
ReplyDeleteNOW IT BECOMES A NEED OF THE DAY,, BECAUSE NOW WE ADDED OUR OWN MALALAI OF SWAT IN TO HISTORY OF PASHTOONS.
ReplyDeleteDEAR GOOD JOB,, THANKS FOR IT

ReplyDeletewe are grating to her bravery
This piece well written - but it is entirely fictional. This Malai story is made up. It was created by Pashtu Tolana in the 1940s - when an era of falsification of history started. Puta Khazana was made in this period also - with fake poetry that was supposed to go back many years. Quoting a book that mentioned this story does not mean that the story is legit - it just means that that book was also based upon that misconceived idea. The people whom fought in Maiwand had come from Herat. Ayub Khan was the nominal leader - but the real battle leader was a gneral called Hasana Ali Panjshiri. He won the battle and went on to become the first minister of defense in the time of Amir Abdur Rahman Khan.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Thank you for your readership, Anonymous, but, naturally, I'm going to have to say - you've been given false information. Feel more than free to look Malala up in British and colonialist sources if you don't think she's a real character.
DeleteVery apt reply, Shahnaz!
ReplyDeleteNow their trying to added their fake Malala to the history of pashtoon they think people would forget Malalai maiwand becouse of Malala yousufzai No people of swat our Malalai maiwand was the best and would be the legendary women in history of women's
