Ta Laare Da Bal Cha Shwe

My second Pashto poem (the first one is rreally, really, REALLY, really bad so ain't worth sharing ... but I may still upload it some day :D).

Kho jor hera de krram, gula, ta che laare bewafa shwe
Au da bal gulab baora shwe
Maa we ta ba zama she, za ba sta sham
Kho ta laare da bal cha shwe

Maa weil charta ba laar shu, sam laree ao yawaze
Maa we ta ba zama she, za ba sta sham

Zrruna ba khpal spak ku, yao bal ta munga dwanra
Maa we ta ba zama she, za ba sta sham

Maa we ta ba zama she, za ba sta sham
Kho ta laare da bal cha shwe

  1. I m impressed. You put things in a very simple way and that is the quality of a good poet.Keep it up ,Pukhtaney Peghley.BTY ,Is it your personal experience(Hope you wo,t min it) or observations becuase poets are very sinsitive, vigilent and feel other,s pains and sufferings.Kor dey Wadan

  8. Yaa Spogmai! Alaaaaa!! I just traveled through destaar.com and ohhh my God!! I didn't know you'd publicly post "Hagha Dwa Malalai Stargey"! halaaaa! Bas ka, bas ka, lolll. How I love you!

By the way, I've translated this poem, kha, kho ... it's not poetic at all! I *might consider* posting it in my blog if I have your permission (in English, since I can't write/paste anything in Pukhto here!)

And destaar.com doesn't look bad; if I figure out how to write in English there, I might join it, lol. (I just saw that some people wrote that they don't understand English, though. So never mind.)

  9. @Qrratugai: "Daa yao kho ba na yaadey?".......

Ao, dagha kho ye hum dher khaista dey kho za che koom yadome hagha nom 'Sehra' da......tole dher khaista dee; da ogarai "Hagha Dwa Malalai Stargey" somra khukaley likalae dey....just keep one thing in mind that original verses of Pukhto is something totally different from a translated version of it so do prove-read it from Spogmai:)......ao kana khyal mey na shee ka hagha khwand ao khaist pakey wee.

'Destaar' yao dher da simple, meenawalo ao Pukhto jabey mayano zai dey ao Spogmai che koma shairee mung sera haltha share karre ya kawee, we are just so thankful to her.

I tried translating her "Shamla pa Oor Oseza"! Didn't work because it seemed to be losing meaning with translation and I'd rather leave it un-translated than translate it with meaningless meaning! "Hagha Dwa Malalai Stargey" ... ahhh, this one took me forever! And I still have a few words that I can't find good translations for so have to ask her about that.

Translating poems and other works requires strong talent and is rarely found. For me, it's impossible to translate it and express the same thoughts in it as Spogmai expressed in Pukhto.

  14. hahaha, and I myself just realized I haven't responded to the above comments at all!

Thank you, good folks! Your encouragement is greatly appreciated and means a lot!

Tor Khana, bass sa wakoo :p koshishuna kao no, lol. I figured I need to try something in Pukhto as well, since it feels like blasphemy to be writing poetry in a non-native language but not in my native one! Jo dagha wo no ... nor, trying harder and hoping that the future poems will be better, ka khairee.
